Busy

Tongfu's fine. He's home now. Only his throat got burned. That as well as his shoulders, where the liquid spilled. I felt so relieved when Luis told me as I was really expecting the worst! Today was extremely busy the way all days are.. starting with a shoot in the morning at Cafe Ysabel. Such a beautiful place, there was no need for us to bring props after all to get a "spring" like effect. Jane K was our stylist, Kai H our photog, and Allen our mu artist. plus brazilian (yet again!!) model Juliana who looked like a tisay Grace Tagle. Left them early as had a series of meetings whole afternoon...every half hour, with different brands! Mexx, Kenneth Cole, Charriol, DKNY, Springfield, Bally, Jessica, Episode and several more I forget...they all just kinda blend into one grey mush in my brain.. Mexx wants an event sometime in May. the others want the usual shoots..but the common denominator is everyone wants attention now. Tomorrow morning we have our pre-prod for the launch of Red Earth cosmetics...that's March 28 I think. Zara event is on April 26. Worked on paperwork till 9pm. Sometimes I wonder how I survive all of this and still manage to be a mom at the same time..and a single one at that!! But have been doing that for the past 20 years.. I am going to post my essay here very soon - the one I wrote in July 2001..and got published September 2001 in Metro Working Mom. It's entitled "No Roses"... you know, as in "Marriage may have its thorns, but celibacy ain't no roses".. ugh.
