F/W 2007 ??!!##

It can't get any worse than this. What's with this F/W season? Why is there so much work? Why can't I concentrate on anything longer than two minutes? Why do I get 54 e-mails when I'm away from my desk for even just one hour? And then I spend the next three hours answering them...but OMG like gremlins they just keep multiplying!! I found a cool way to get back at everyone... I just simply switch on my "out of office assistant"! That way they won't expect a reply till the next day! Problem is, the minute I decide to postpone something by clicking on "mark unread" so it can go back to its bold format -- consider it dead, buried, totally forgotten, LOST forever in cyberspace. AND then inevitably - I remember it at the 11th hour, too near deadline, and all hell breaks loose. Why do I call people up, and by the time they get on the line (by then I would have finished sending out two text messages, read one email, signed at least ten 'request to borrow merchandise forms' and read a couple of solicitation letters..), I can't remember WHO they are, what brand or company they represent, and why I dialed their number in the first place. It happened twice today. And then multi-tasking which I do a LOT - for me it means composing an e-mail with your right hand, reading your text messages while holding cellphone in the other hand, discussing details of some project with a person infront of you (almost always a merchandise manager), and then answering your landline with whatever hand happens to be free. And then you continue talking (with yet another merchandise manager.. or maybe a stylist wanting to borrow for a shoot. or maybe the ad agency you recently fought with..or maybe your boss. oops.) by tucking the receiver under your chin, still texting ... AND you see countless new e-mails popping up.. The person infront of you meanwhile has given up trying to explain the details of her launch or her shoot requirements or her whatever.. OMG what brand was she talking about again?? (we have 53 brands, last count!!) ..doesn't matter. She'll just go back to her office and e-mail you... and out pops another gremlin! Yessss I love the 'out of office' function....
